About this opportunity
The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) is seeking a video production company experienced in natural resource storytelling and familiar with salmon recovery efforts in Puget Sound to develop three short videos (30-second, 1-minute, and less than 10-minutes) highlighting the conservation hatchery programs on the Stillaguamish River and future habitat restoration and fish passage improvement projects. The videos will be produced within the Stillaguamish Watershed, located in Snohomish County and Snohomish City. The deadline for proposal submission is March 6, 2023, and the project must be completed by June 30, 2023. WDFW will evaluate proposals based on the proposed approach, budget, and relevant experience, and reserves the right to negotiate the final project elements and award amount with the successful applicant. WDFW also reserves the right to reject all proposals and make no award under this solicitation.
The RFP clarifies that contractors outside the USA will not be given priority, and the contracted work must be performed within the Stillaguamish Watershed in the USA. The budget for this project is up to $35,000, but WDFW may consider increasing the budget to $45,000 with a compelling argument from the applicant. WDFW and a Stillaguamish tribal affairs representative will be present during production, and the contractor will be responsible for choosing interview locations within the Stillaguamish Watershed, with support from WDFW staff.
