About this opportunity
The City of Fort Worth is requesting proposals for moving services to support the Property Management Department on an as-needed basis under RFP 26-0247, with proposals due September 24, 2026 at 2:00 PM CST and questions due September 14, 2026. A 30% Small Business utilization goal applies; vendors must be certified SBEs themselves or subcontract to certified SBEs with principal places of business in Tarrant, Wise, Johnson, Parker, or Denton County.
Vendors must have a minimum of five years of commercial moving experience and must bid on all service lines offered — no partial bids accepted. The scope encompasses office relocations (approximately 80% of historical activity), new furniture installation (approximately 15%), storage services (approximately 5%), and related disassembly and reassembly of modular furniture systems from multiple manufacturers including Steelcase, Teknion, Kimball, and The HON Company. Services include safe relocation up to 750 lbs, temporary and long-term storage, and expedited response with anticipated emergency requests of one to two times annually. Performance spans City-owned facilities within Tarrant County and surrounding North Texas regions including Parker, Wise, Denton, Dallas, Ellis, Johnson, and Hood Counties. Two service tiers are offered: Regular Service (two-day response time, five-day quote delivery) and Expedited Service (two-hour response time, four-hour onsite arrival).
Historical annual spending for moving services averages $161,565 over three years, with anticipated annual contract maximum of $658,500 (or $688,000 total contract value). Incumbents are All Points and Move Solutions. The City anticipates a single award but reserves the right to make multiple awards; if multiple awards are made, work will be distributed by cost and availability.
Evaluation uses 100 total points: Small Business Utilization (up to 20 points), Technical Approach (up to 20 points), Personnel, Equipment, and Resources (up to 20 points), Relevant Experience and Qualifications (up to 20 points), and Cost (up to 20 points). Proposals scoring less than 50% of available non-price points will not be considered for award. All submissions must be made through the Bonfire Procurement Portal at https://fortworthtexas.bonfirehub.com/portal/. Insurance requirements include commercial general liability ($1 million per occurrence / $2 million aggregate), automobile liability ($1 million combined single limit), workers' compensation at statutory limits, and professional liability ($1 million each claim / $1 million aggregate), with the City named as additional insured.
