About this file
This is Addendum No. 1 to Request for Proposals 26-0247 issued by the City of Fort Worth for moving services to support the Property Management Department on an as-needed basis. The addendum incorporates a comprehensive Questions and Answers document addressing 46 inquiries from prospective bidders and clarifies various aspects of the original RFP issued September 2, 2026. The bid opening date remains September 24, 2026. The scope of work encompasses office relocations (approximately 80% of historical activity), new furniture installation (approximately 15%), and storage services (approximately 5%). Services include disassembly, relocation, and reassembly of modular furniture systems from multiple manufacturers including Magnuson Group, Via, Egan Visual, Steelcase, Teknion, Kimball, and The HON Company. The contract will cover safe relocation (up to 750 lbs), temporary and long-term storage services, and expedited response capabilities with anticipated emergency requests of one to two times annually. No site visits are scheduled as services will be provided across various City facilities. The contract term and renewal options are not specified in this addendum document.
The City anticipates a single award, though it reserves the right to make multiple awards if determined to be in its best interest; if multiple awards are made, work will be distributed by cost and availability. Historical annual spending for moving services averages $161,565 over three years, with an anticipated annual contract maximum of $658,500 (or $688,000 total contract value). The incumbents are All Points and Move Solutions. Proposers must submit pricing in the designated Bid Table BT-26JP format with separate line items for various labor categories and equipment. The City requires a 30% Small Business (SB) utilization goal, with points awarded based on each proposer's certified SB utilization; only current certifications from City Manager-designated agencies qualify, and pending applications will not be accepted at bid submission. Insurance requirements are outlined in the Draft Vendor Service Agreement Section 10, and vendors must maintain all applicable licenses and regulatory authority required by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. The City will provide security escorts for vendor personnel accessing secure facilities, and City IT will handle all technology disconnect and reconnect services.
