About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Food, Nutrition and Wellness (FDACS) is issuing an Invitation to Negotiate (ITN) for marketing, media planning, and media buying services to support the state's child nutrition programs. The Department seeks to increase awareness and participation in programs such as the Summer Food Service Program, National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, and Healthier US School Challenge Initiative. The successful vendor will be responsible for developing a statewide marketing plan, placing media, and providing added value for the Summer BreakSpot program, which provides meals to children during the summer months. The anticipated contract term is from October 1, 2022, to September 30, 2025, with three one-year renewal options. Responses are due by May 24, 2022, and the Department intends to make a single award or no award based on the best interest of the state.
The total annual budget for these services is $1,000,000, and the Department is encouraging prospective vendors to propose their preferred media mix and budget allocation. The current incumbent on the contract is Moore Communications. The Department does not have set budgets for each marketing plan component, and vendors are encouraged to propose their preferred methodology and media mix percentage. The ITN does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, and the Department intends to select the vendor that best meets the state's needs.
