A 10% contingency of $573,100.98 is also included in the budget. The project will involve constructing a King Pile wall as a flood barrier, with concrete panels and prestressed concrete piles designed to a peak elevation of +10' NAVD88. This reconstruction effort is part of Sanford's ongoing initiative to improve flood protection, particularly in response to damages sustained during Hurricane Ian in 2022.
