About this opportunity

The City of Austin is requesting bids for maintenance and repair services for Dyna-Brute Model #964101 automotive parts washers on an as-needed basis, with bids due October 13, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. CT and questions due September 28, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. CT. A local business preference of 5% applies to bids up to $500,000 and 3% for bids between $500,000 and $50 million; a small business preference with similar discount structures also applies. Participation in either preference program is optional.

The scope includes non-warranty and warranty repair services and preventive maintenance for the specified Dyna-Brute equipment model. The contractor must be authorized by the manufacturer. Pricing consists of two categories: repair labor (estimated 400 hours annually for repair services during normal business hours and 35 units annually for preventive maintenance flat fees) and parts (estimated annual spend of approximately $30,000 based on a percentage discount applied to Dyna-Brute Suggested Retail Price). Unit prices must not exceed four decimal places and must include all administrative fees, overhead, and transportation to the Austin area.

The initial contract term is 36 months from execution, with the option for the City to extend automatically for up to two additional 12-month periods at its sole discretion. Prices remain firm for the first 12 months; after 12 months, price adjustments may be requested on the contract anniversary date not to exceed the percentage change in the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Commercial Machinery Repair and Maintenance Index, with a maximum single-line item adjustment of 25%. Payment is due within 30 days of invoice receipt or deliverable delivery.

The City's Living Wage Program applies; all employees and subcontractors must earn a minimum of $22.15 per hour. All employers must certify compliance with Austin City Code wage theft ordinance requirements within five years of the solicitation posting date. Contractors must obtain Workers' Compensation, Commercial General Liability, and Business Automobile Liability Insurance with specified minimum limits and provide certificates prior to contract execution. Subcontractors require prior written City approval; no MBE/WBE subcontracting goals apply, but certified Small Business subcontractors are encouraged. The City reserves the right to award a single contract or make multiple awards based on criteria deemed most advantageous.
