About this file

This is a Small Business Preference submittal form for the City of Austin, Texas, established to encourage small business participation in city procurements and increase contracting opportunities with minority and disadvantaged enterprises. The form is optional and applies to the Maintenance & Repair Services for Automotive Parts Washers solicitation (replacing MA: GA220000024). Offerors may voluntarily identify themselves as recognized Small Businesses to potentially receive procurement preference incentives. There are no specific response dates, due dates, site visits, bidder meetings, award dates, or contract terms referenced in this document, as it serves solely as a certification and preference declaration mechanism rather than a complete solicitation notice.

The Small Business Preference Program recognizes two categories of participation: Small Business Primes, which are businesses holding recognized certifications compliant with U.S. Small Business Administration size standards and eligible for full preference, and Small Business Subs, which are non-small businesses that subcontract with one or more certified Small Business entities meeting a minimum of 5 percent of the total contract value and eligible for partial preference. The City of Austin reserves the right to verify certifications with certifying entities and may withhold preference, disqualify offerors, or void awarded contracts if misrepresentation is discovered. Specific recognized certifications are referenced on the City's Small Business Program website, and offerors must complete an attached Subcontracting Plan if claiming partial preference through small business subcontractors. Participation in this program is not mandatory to submit an offer to the solicitation.
