About this opportunity
The Texas Workforce Commission is requesting bids on kitchen equipment replacement at the IRS Building FAC 919 Cafeteria in Austin under IFB 3202700016, with bids due September 18, 2026 at 10:00 AM Central Time and a pre-bid conference on August 25, 2026. A VetHUB Subcontracting Plan with a 6.50 percent goal for services and compliance with Travis County prevailing wage requirements are mandatory.
The scope encompasses removal and disposal of existing refrigeration equipment, delivery, installation, and commissioning of two walk-in units—an 8 feet wide by 8 feet long by 8 feet 6 inches high cooler (Arctic Industries BL0808-CF-R or TWC-approved equivalent) and freezer (Norlake KLF7788-C or equivalent)—including refrigerant piping, insulation, pressure testing, evacuation, charging, and startup. All work must occur during standard business hours (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday). The contractor must be an authorized Texas distributor capable of providing parts and maintenance support and must carry a two-year warranty on all equipment, components, and workmanship. Pricing is firm and fixed; no price adjustments are permitted.
The contract term runs from October 2026 through March 1, 2027. Optional site visits are scheduled for August 27 and September 3, 2026 at 9:00 AM. A courtesy draft VetHUB Subcontracting Plan review deadline is September 1, 2026 at 5:00 PM Central Time. Liquidated damages are $300 per day for project delays. The successful bidder must submit monthly Progress Assessment Reports with itemized invoices by the 5th of each month. Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates apply to all covered labor classifications in Travis County. Prices must remain firm for 180 days from the bid deadline. The contract is contingent on continued funding availability.
