Chatham County has established a combined Minority and Women Business Enterprise (M/WBE) participation goal of 30% for this project, and all bidders are required to demonstrate good faith efforts in subcontracting with qualified M/WBE firms through active solicitation, work breakout, negotiation, and supportive assistance to minority and women-owned businesses. Contractors must comply with mandatory requirements including E-Verify authorization verification, the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program, drug-free workplace certification, non-discrimination and equal opportunity commitments, debarment and suspension certifications, and anti-lobbying affidavits, with all certifications requiring notarization where specified. Insurance requirements include commercial general liability insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000, workers' compensation insurance with minimum limits of $500,000, and business automobile liability insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000.
