About this opportunity
The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System (SCCPSS) is requesting sealed proposals for low-voltage infrastructure services at Hubert Middle School in Georgia, with proposals due August 25, 2026. The scope includes installation of data cabling, fiber optic cabling, uninterruptible power supply systems, data racks, and integration of district-provided wireless access points across Phases 2–5 over a one-year period. All work must comply with the SCCPSS Technology Design Plan; any deviations require advance written approval from the SCCPSS Technology Department.
Minimum qualifications require offerors to be Georgia-registered or authorized to conduct business in Georgia, demonstrate at least five years of continuous experience in similar low-voltage services preferably with educational or governmental agencies in the Southeast, maintain current Georgia business licenses, demonstrate financial stability, provide proof of required insurance, and employ at least one Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD). Offerors must comply with E-Verify requirements under O.C.G.A. 13-10-91 and provide debarment and suspension verification.
The Technology Design Plan specifies detailed infrastructure standards including Category 6 cabling, Cisco networking equipment, specific UPS models (Vertiv GXT5LI-1500LVRT2UXLN for IDFs; Vertiv GX5TLI-2000VRT2UXLN for MDF), 12-strand 50-micron multimode fiber with SC terminations, and mandates BICSI-certified personnel with an RCDD on-site during all work and a 15-year manufacturer and performance warranty. The project scope encompasses approximately 350 data cables, 75 indoor and 3 outdoor wireless access points, 56 security cameras, and 10 audio enhancement data drops.
Proposals exceeding $100,000 require a bid bond of at least 5% of total contract value; successful offerors must provide performance and payment bonds equal to the total contract amount. Pricing must remain firm for 90 days after proposal receipt and include inside delivery to the school site. The initial contract term does not exceed one year with two optional one-year renewal terms, provided pricing increases do not exceed 5% per renewal period. Evaluation criteria weight sealed fee proposal at 50 points; company experience and qualifications, technical approach, support plan, project plan, and references each receive 10 points. Offerors must submit three professional references and confirm receipt of all solicitation addenda.
