About this opportunity
ALERT: Proposal due date (July 17, 2026) has already passed as of the posting date (July 21, 2026). This opportunity is closed.
Glades Electric Cooperative (GEC) issued RFP 202606 on June 29, 2026 for post-disaster catering and support services to supply meals for 150–300 electric utility workers during major storm restoration activities across two staging locations in Glades County, Florida — Lake Placid (north) and Moore Haven (south), approximately 40 miles apart.
The scope includes breakfast and dinner in buffet style, box lunches to go, and optional in-field meal deliveries. The awardee must provide kitchen and catering facilities with backup power generation (required if grid electricity is unavailable), hot meals, box lunches, refrigeration, and dining facilities with or without air conditioning. All services must include beverages, flatware, paper goods, and necessary supplies. The contractor must track all meals served by quantity and recipient to maintain regulatory compliance and participate in stakeholder meetings.
Work may not be subcontracted except for renting tables, chairs, and tents as needed. The contractor must mobilize within 24–48 hours of authorization and operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays if requested, for the contract term. The scope is non-exhaustive; GEC may request services beyond those listed or fewer than all listed services.
Pricing is submitted on a rate-sheet template (Catering_Services_in_Post_Disaster_Environment__Rate_Sheet_Template.xlsx). The contract is structured as a Master Service Agreement activated through Notice to Proceed, Task Order, or Task Release, with specific locations and work details provided at authorization. Four supporting documents are attached: the MSA template, the RFP, the detailed Scope of Work, and the rate-sheet template.
