The scope is removal of existing hydronic heating piping, pumps, supports, and accessories, and installation of two new gas-fired forced draft condensing boilers (Riello AR 2000 model, 2,000 MBH each) with all associated piping, ductwork, hydronic accessories, and DDC controls. All work must comply with the 8th Edition (2023) Florida Building Code, NFPA standards, ASHRAE guidelines, and SMACNA standards. The contract period is six months (180 calendar days) from Notice to Proceed.

Subcontractors must be similarly licensed and pre-approved. Bidders must include a $5,000 contingency as a separate line item with no markup. Liquidated damages are assessed at $125 per calendar day for failure to achieve substantial completion on schedule. Payment is made in installments: 25% at 25% completion, 50% at 50% completion, 75% at 75% completion, with the remaining balance and 10% retainage paid upon punch list completion. All personnel with access to school grounds when students are present must comply with Level 2 background screening. General Liability Insurance minimum limits are $1 million per occurrence and $2 million general aggregate. The Project Architect/Engineer is BAL Engineering, Inc., with Project Coordinator Bryce Bannister at (727) 547-6452. The District intends to recommend award to the School Board by October 27, 2026.
