About this opportunity
The City of Draper, Utah is soliciting bids for the 2026-2027 Zone 5 Sidewalk Repair Project covering sidewalk repairs throughout the west and north areas of Draper, with bids due September 22, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. on U3P-Bonfire. This IFB has closed; eleven vendors submitted bids, with Albretsen Construction providing the apparent low bid at $259,787.00 and remaining bids ranging to $647,050.00. The City Council will make final award after bid tabulation.
The scope is concrete flatwork removal and replacement totaling 15,000 square feet, tree removal (100 trees), landscape restoration, installation of six detectable warning plates, traffic control, and mobilization/demobilization at 28 identified sidewalk locations across Draper's west and north zones. Contractors must provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment. Bid documents were posted September 3, 2026 and include detailed construction plans (26 sheets) with specific repair locations marked on aerial views. Addendum 1 (September 11, 2026) clarified that the original contract documents were mistakenly incomplete and provided the full document as originally intended with no substantive changes to previously posted pages.
The contract term is 270 calendar days from Notice to Proceed, with work commencing within 10 days of award. A 5% bid bond is required at submission. Upon award, the contractor must provide performance and payment bonds each at 100% of contract price within 10 calendar days and maintain comprehensive insurance including $1 million combined single limit general liability and $1 million automobile liability. Liquidated damages are $1,000 per day for late completion and $1,000 per day for incomplete punch list items after 30 days. Questions were due September 17, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. No pre-bid conference was scheduled. Eric Lundell, Senior Engineer/Project Manager, serves as the point of contact for bid results.
