About this opportunity

Dougherty County School System in Georgia is requesting sealed proposals for office furniture across multiple administrative offices under RFQ 022-PUR-2026, with proposals due June 16, 2026 at 11:45 a.m. at the DCSS Logistical Services Department and live-streamed via Zoom. A local preference allowing Dougherty County suppliers to match the lowest responsive bid within two percent or $2,500, whichever is less, applies to qualifying vendors.

The scope covers 33 line items of commercial-grade office furniture, including sofas, lounge chairs, guest chairs, conference and office desks, credenzas, workstations, bookcases, storage cabinets, and end tables in specified colors (heather grey, Newport grey, granite, teal, aspen, espresso, and silver birch). Approved manufacturers include Offices To Go, Performance Office Furnishings, KFI Studios, MooreCo, NDI Office Furniture, Aspenhome, and N9NE Furniture Group; bidders may propose approved equal products by submitting alternatives with complete specifications by the Q&A deadline of June 2, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. All furniture must be warranted for at least one year from final acceptance or per the manufacturer's standard warranty, whichever is longer. The awardee must provide a dedicated project manager as single point of contact for all transportation, delivery, installation, and cleanup. Deliveries are restricted to Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., excluding school holidays and inclement-weather closures. All delivery costs, including freight, drayage, and installation, must be included in the quote and delivered prepaid.

The contract period runs July 1, 2026 through August 31, 2026, with projected delivery and installation completion between June 29 and July 26, 2026. Pricing must remain firm for the contract period unless covered by an escalation clause. A single award will be made to cover all furniture; multiple awards may be made if a vendor cannot supply all items. The RFQ includes a piggyback clause permitting other state and local governments to purchase under the same terms and conditions. Vendors must submit one original and one digital copy of their proposal, including DJEA Policy Statement of Assurance, vendor information form, references, acknowledgement form, debarment certification, certification of non-collusion, and Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act affidavits for contractors and subcontractors.
