About this opportunity
The Department of Homeland Security Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers seeks design and fabrication of twenty exterior-grade U.S. Government Property warning sign panels, with quotes due September 2, 2026, and questions due September 1, 2026. This is a total small business set-aside acquisition on a firm-fixed-price basis.
Place of performance is a contractor facility within 35 miles of FLETC Glynco, Georgia (1131 Chapel Crossing Road, Glynco, Georgia 31524). Contractor delivery is not required; the Government will pick up completed signs from the contractor's facility. The solicitation is issued under FAR 12.202 and 12.203 commercial procedures, with no separate written solicitation to follow.
Each sign measures 6 feet wide by 8 feet high, single-sided, landscape-oriented, fabricated from exterior-grade rigid aluminum (.080-inch 5052-H32 or equivalent) or approved equivalent material. All signs must be weather-resistant, corrosion-resistant, UV-resistant, with graphics and text fade-resistant for a minimum of five years. The contractor shall provide design services, a digital color proof for Government approval prior to fabrication, quality control, and protective packaging. The signs must include specific warning text in red, blue, and black (Helvetica font family with defined minimum letter heights: 2.5 inches for main heading, 1.5 inches for primary warning text, 1 inch for supporting text) and five prohibition symbols (handgun, knife, camera, controlled substance, and drone silhouettes). All fabrication, Government inspection, and acceptance must occur at the contractor's facility; mounting holes are not required. Completion and Government acceptance are due by September 30, 2026.
Award will be based on best value evaluation considering technical capability (most important), production schedule (important), and price (determining factor among acceptable proposals). No advance or milestone payments are permitted; one invoice is due after final Government inspection and acceptance. The NAICS code is 339950, Sign Manufacturing; PSC code is 9905. Contracting Officer Ricardo Soto is reachable at 912-267-2303 or ricardo.soto@fletc.dhs.gov.
