Question # 1 - Could you please clarify whether a properly fabricated two-piece/seamed panel would be acceptable, provided that:

• The completed sign is the required 6 ft. wide × 8 ft. high dimensions;

• It remains a single-sided exterior sign;

• The seam is structurally sound and suitable for the intended outdoor application;

• The finished surface and graphics meet the required appearance and durability requirements; and

• The completed sign conforms to the Government-approved proof and all other applicable requirements.

If a seamed construction is acceptable, please also advise whether the Government has any preference or restriction regarding the location/orientation of the seam.

The question is being raised strictly to ensure that the pricing we obtain reflects a fabrication method that will be acceptable to the Government.

Answer # 1 - The Government will accept the proposed solution of a properly fabricated two-piece/seamed panel and has no restrictions on the location of the seam.

Question # 2 - Do the aluminum signs need to be 8' W x 6' H?

The industry standard aluminum substrate sheets are typically available in 8' W x 4' H or 10' W x 5' H. Please confirm whether the 8' x 6' dimensions are required, or if one of the standard sheet sizes would be acceptable.

Answer # 2 - The Government requires 8' W x 6' H and will accept a proposed solution of a properly fabricated two-piece/seamed panel and has no restrictions on the location of the seam.

Question # 3 - Can the sign be two pieces seamed together to meet the 6x8 feet requirement?

Answer # 3 - Government accepts a seam to meet the sign overall 6’x8’ requirement.

Question # 4 - Amendment 03 identifies each finished sign as 6 feet high by 8 feet wide in landscape orientation. Please confirm that 72 inches high by 96 inches wide is the correct finished size for each of the 20 signs.

Answer # 4 - Response: Government confirms specified dimensions.

Question # 5 - Must each 6-foot-by-8-foot sign be fabricated from one continuous aluminum panel, or may each sign consist of two aluminum sections securely joined and reinforced from the rear?
