About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) is seeking ship repair services for the USS MILIUS (DDG-69) Surface Incremental Availability (SIA) at Yokosuka Naval Base in Japan. The solicitation (N6264925RA019) covers nine Task Group Instructions (TGIs) involving various ship repair, overhaul, preservation, and replacement work, including deck plate replacements, nonskid system installations, scaffolding services, and crane operations. Contractors must be authorized to operate in Japan per DFARS 225.1103(3) and submit proposals by February 12, 2024, at 10:00 AM JST. Evaluation will likely focus on technical capability, compliance with detailed specifications, and pricing accuracy across the nine individual task groups. Contractors must provide itemized price breakdowns, specify any hazardous materials, and acknowledge potential sea transportation requirements.
The contract has no specific set-aside designation and will be performed entirely at Yokosuka Naval Base in Japan from May 12, 2025, through July 12, 2025. The work encompasses approximately 3,000 square feet of various deck and surface repairs, with government-furnished materials and support services including crane operations, utilities, safety inspections, and quality assurance. While specific award value is not explicitly stated, the price proposal form suggests pricing will be submitted in Japanese Yen and includes a growth CLIN (Contract Line Item Number) pre-funded at 8.3% to accommodate potential additional work. The solicitation includes detailed technical specifications for each task group, requiring precise adherence to military standards like MIL-PRF-24667 and MIL-DTL-15562. Contractors must maintain quality assurance standards per NAVSEA Standard Item 009-04 and comply with U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC) requirements.
