The U.S. Forest Service is soliciting fixed-price quotes for a contract to develop the Reeder View Pit, crush up to 11,500 cubic yards of aggregate material to specification, and stockpile the finished material onsite or nearby. Scope of Work:
This project consists of pit development, crushing up to 11,500 CY (Cubic Yards) of Spec Aggregate and placing it in stockpiles within the or near the pit location. Material will be taken in even layers across entire areas within the pit boundary as marked on ground by the Forest Service. The work shall be in accordance with the FP-14 “Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Projects”. Aggregate will conform to Table 703-3 of FSSS Section 314.

The intent of the contract is to provide for the complete construction of the project described in the contract.  Unless otherwise provided, the contractor is to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies and perform all work required to complete the project in reasonably close conformity with the drawings and specifications, and in accordance with the provisions of the contract.  Payment for contract work will be made only for and under those pay items included in the Schedule of Items.  All other work and materials will be considered as incidental to and included in the payment for the items shown in the Schedule. 

Base Option is for the crushing of an additional 5,500 CY

Option 1 is for the crushing of up to an additional 1,000 CY

Option 2 is for the crushing of up to an additional 2000 CY

Option 3 is for the crushing of up to an additional 3,000 CY
