About this opportunity

This pre-solicitation notice seeks a firm fixed price contract for construction services at four recreational sites within the Stanislaus National Forest. The U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service Pacific Southwest Region will award a contract to remove an existing bike path and waterline, demolish bathrooms and install vault toilets, seal water tanks, and construct a well house. Proposals are due within ten days of the final amendment, as stated in the solicitation package to be issued on March 25, 2020. Evaluation will prioritize offers demonstrating experience with utility installation, paving, prefabricated structure installation, simple construction, and water tank sealing.

Stanislaus National Forest seeks to award a firm fixed priced contract for construction work to be performed on four recreational sites on the Calaveras Ranger District, the projects vary and are listed below.

Site 1: Lake Alpine Recreation Area.  Remove existing bike path and relocated 4” waterline under bike path alignment, reconstruct bike path in existing alignment.  Abandon existing waterline in the lake bed in place.

Site 2: Marmot Day Use Area, Lake Alpine Recreation Area. Demolish existing 4 unit flush toilet bathroom and sewer lift station, place two unit prefabricated vault toilet in existing toilet footprint.

Site 3: (Option Item): Sourgrass Day Use Area.  Seal interior of 10,000 gallon water tank.

Site 4: Big Meadows Campground. Construct well house around existing well, relocate electrical panel, water meter, shut off valves, etc. per plan.  Install float control panel in well house, place electrical conduit and wiring between well house and water tank.  Install float switches in existing conduit. .  (Option Item) Seal interior of 10,000 gallon water tank

All sites are accessed from California Highway 4.
