This solicitation seeks a firm fixed-price contract to perform construction work at four recreational sites located on the Calaveras Ranger District of the Stanislaus National Forest in California. The U.S. Forest Service Pacific Southwest Region will award a single contract to remove an existing bike path and relocate a waterline at Lake Alpine Recreation Area, demolish bathrooms and install a vault toilet at Marmot Day Use Area, seal water tanks at Sourgrass Day Use Area and Big Meadows Campground, and construct a well house. Proposals are due by April 23, 2020, and the contract will be awarded based on best value.

The solicitation is set aside for small businesses under NAICS code 237110 for plumbing, heating, and air conditioning contractors, with a size standard of average annual receipts not exceeding $39.5 million. Only offers from firms certified as both small businesses and meeting the size standard will be considered. The NAICS code for this project is 237110, The small business size standard is no greater than $39.5 Million in average annual receipts.  Only offers from firms that are certified to meet both Total Small Business status and the size standard will be considered. Stanislaus National Forest seeks to award 1 firm fixed priced contract to for construction work to be performed on four recreational sites on the Calaveras Ranger District, the projects vary and are listed below.

Site 1: Lake Alpine Recreation Area.  Remove existing bike path and relocated 4” waterline under bike path alignment, reconstruct bike path in existing alignment.  Abandon existing waterline in the lake bed in place.

Site 2: Marmot Day Use Area, Lake Alpine Recreation Area. Demolish existing 4 unit flush toilet bathroom and sewer lift station, place two unit prefabricated vault toilet in existing toilet footprint.

Site 3: (Option Item): Sourgrass Day Use Area.  Seal interior of 10,000 gallon water tank.

Site 4: Big Meadows Campground. Construct well house around existing well, relocate electrical panel, water meter, shut off valves, etc. per plan.  Install float control panel in well house, place electrical conduit and wiring between well house and water tank.  Install float switches in existing conduit. .  (Option Item) Seal interior of 10,000 gallon water tank

All sites are accessed from California Highway 4.

Site 1: Lake Alpine Recreation Area, 0.3 miles east of Lake Alpine boat ramp entrance on Highway 4, Alpine County.

Site 2: Marmot Day Use Area, Lake Alpine Recreation Area, Alpine County

Site 3: Big Meadow Campground, Calaveras County

Site 4: Sourgrass Day Use Area, Tuolumne County
