About this opportunity
United States Special Operations Command is preparing to procure refurbishment and retrofit services for two dual-chamber medical waste incinerators at the Joint Special Operations Medical Training Center, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, with a Sources Sought response deadline of August 12, 2026. The Government intends to sole-source the contract with B&L Cremation Systems, Inc. if no other capable sources are identified.
The procurement concerns rebuild of one existing large incinerator (Consumat model) and retrofit of one existing small incinerator. Required components are OEM or OEM-equal replacement parts that restore and optimize functionality without structural facility modifications or changes to existing utility connections. The large unit features a dual-chamber system with three natural gas burners (one secondary, two primary), hydraulic ram waste loading with electronic ignition and UV flame supervision, automatic temperature modulation, spray water cooling, and control systems with automatic startup and emergency shutdown. The small unit requires a non-dumping hydraulic ram system with three burners (one upper chamber, two lower chamber) and forced-air combustion air supply. Both units must operate on natural gas at supply pressures not exceeding 14 inches water column and fit within existing equipment footprints.
Respondents must submit technical capability statements (maximum two pages) documenting OEM or authorized reseller/distributor status, capability to provide installation, training, and warranty support, and confirmation that all proposed components are fully interchangeable with existing Consumat systems without facility or utility modifications. Submissions include company information, UEI, applicable NAICS code, business size classification, and manufacturing, shipping, and delivery timelines. This is market research only; the RFI creates no binding obligation. NAICS 333994; PSC J045.
