Specifically, the project involves removing and replacing five electrical switchboards: three at the Lakemont Campus in Orlando and two at the Viera Campus. Interested contractors must submit a comprehensive capability statement by March 26, 2025, at 2:00 pm EST, including organizational details, SAM UEI number, socio-economic category, certifications, and payment terms. Contractors must demonstrate qualifications for electrical installation services, with the procurement classified under NAICS code 238210 and a size standard of $19 million.

The opportunity is initially set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), with potential for broader competition depending on market research results. The contract requires the selected contractor to provide all necessary personnel, equipment, tools, and materials for removing the existing rusted electrical panels and installing new, durable, outdoor-rated electrical cabinets. The total project scope includes disposal of existing infrastructure and extending the electrical cabinet overhang. The work must be completed within 60 days of contract award, with strict safety protocols including establishing a 30-foot safety perimeter and requiring appropriate personal protective equipment. While no specific budget range is mentioned, the contract will be structured as a firm fixed-price purchase order, with the contractor responsible for comprehensive electrical installation services at both VA campus locations.
