BACKGROUND:

The electrical system throughout building 1 needs to have the circuits traced and labeled correctly. This work will be performed in patient rooms, ICU, NICU and other critical care units, Administrative and support spaces. Upon investigating the electrical systems for information to assist the maintenance operation section with shutdowns/additions/repairs/upgrades, it has been determined the panel schedules are not correct. Without having correct information, we unintentionally interfere with DIRECT PATIENT CARE and hospital operations. It now takes a minimal of 40-60 manhours to physically trace out a panel circuit to try and plan a more efficient shutdowns to minimize interruptions to patient care and hospital operations. The above issues are becoming critical and costing thousands of dollars in investigating.
