This project consists of the removal of an existing 87" x 65" metal culvert and construction of a new 25'-0" span x 6'-6" rise 32' long precast concrete bridge including footings, wingwalls, and curb. Other bridge work includes structural excavation, placement of riprap, excavation and embankment of the roadway approaches for installation of guardrail and aggregate road surfacing. Final roadway will be two lanes. Improvements consist of relocating 200' of the existing stream that is adjacent to the road to an old meander that can be seen on the ground and is 400' long. This work includes excavation for the new streambed which will be placed as fill in the existing channel. Streamside stabilization will be accomplished with some riprap, mostly wattles, clump plantings, and seed. Price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The estimated start work date is 15 August 2013, with 75 days contract time. The solicitation is expected to be issued after 12 February, 2013.
