About this opportunity
Argonne National Laboratory is seeking an Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES) system for the Metallic Project, with the Department of Energy Office of Science as the sponsoring agency. The procurement will be evaluated on a lowest price, technically acceptable basis, requiring vendors to submit comprehensive documentation by March 13, 2025, at 5pm CDT. The solicitation demands a detailed response including a completed ANL-70 Request for Quotation, a list of capabilities aligned with technical requirements, country of origin information, delivery lead time, signed representations and certifications, and price justification. The ICP-OES system must meet specific technical specifications, including a dual torch design, wavelength spectrum from 167-852 nm, and an autosampler with autodilution capabilities. Vendors must also comply with Buy American regulations, which require that 65% of component costs be sourced from the United States for items delivered between 2024 and 2028.
The solicitation does not include any specific set-aside designations, and no incumbent contractors are mentioned in the documentation. While a precise award value is not specified, the procurement involves a sophisticated scientific instrument with comprehensive system requirements, including the ICP System, Autosampling System, Autodilution System, two days of onsite support, and a one-year extended warranty. The estimated delivery is planned for May 2025, with the goods to be delivered to Argonne National Laboratory in Lemont, IL, 60439. Payment terms are set at net 30 days with F.O.B. Destination shipping. The procurement falls under NAICS Category 423490 for Other Professional Equipment and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers and PSC Category 6640 for Laboratory Equipment and Supplies, indicating a specialized scientific equipment acquisition.
