About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Nuclear Weapons Center seeks delivery and installation of forty-eight industrial air-circulation fan units at five facilities (Buildings 336, 381, 1000, 1001, and 1002) at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, with proposals due September 23, 2026 at 1:00 PM Mountain Daylight Time. This is a total small business set-aside; all competitors must be certified small businesses.
Place of performance is Albuquerque, New Mexico. The 58th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron requires installation of 14 Pivot 2 six-foot directional fans each at Hangars 1000, 1001, and 1002 (100–125 VAC single phase, 15-A circuits per fan); one Powerfoil X4 24-foot ceiling fan at Building 381 (200–240 VAC three phase, 15-A circuit, 2.5 hp motor); and five Powerfoil X4 14-foot ceiling fans at Building 336 (400–480 VAC three phase, 10-A circuits per fan, 1.4 kW per fan). The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, structural mounting hardware, electrical components, controllers, and safety retention systems including guy wires for extension tubes four feet or longer. Specifications are solicited as "or equal," permitting any commercially available HVLS fan brand meeting stated technical characteristics. Work must be completed within 120 calendar days after contract award, performed during normal facility hours (7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday, excluding federal holidays), with zero mission interference. Davis-Bacon and Service Contract Act wage determinations apply; electricians earn $40.30 per hour plus $13.41 fringes. Evaluation uses three pass/fail factors: Technical acceptability (compliance with SOW), Past Performance (one-page narrative of substantially similar project), and Price (lowest-priced proposal meeting technical and past-performance criteria wins). Liquidated damages are assessed at $836.71 per calendar day for delay. HUBZone small businesses receive a 10 percent price preference against non-HUBZone competitors. NAICS 333413; PSC 4140. Contracting Officer: A1C Tyler S. Hatfield (tyler.hatfield.2@us.af.mil).
