About this opportunity
The National Park Service Intermountain Region seeks annual fire alarm and water-based sprinkler system inspections and testing at Glacier National Park, with proposals due July 16, 2026 (extended from July 1). This is a Total Small Business set-aside under NAICS 561621, Security Systems Services (except Locksmiths), foreclosing competition outside that category.
Place of performance spans six park areas: West Glacier, St. Mary, Many Glacier, Two Medicine, East Glacier, and Walton. The scope covers 22 fire alarm systems and 23 water-based fire sprinkler systems across multiple facilities. Field work is scheduled for October 4–6, 2026, with initial inspection reports due within 10 days of contract award. Contractor personnel must hold NICET Level II certifications in their respective disciplines, with certification numbers documented on all reports and verified by NPS. All work must comply with NFPA 72 for fire alarm systems and NFPA 25 for water-based fire protection systems, consistent with NPS Director's Order 58. The contract covers a base year running September 21, 2026 through September 20, 2027, followed by four one-year option periods and an optional six-month extension through March 20, 2032. The estimated requirement across the base year and four option years is $936,090.28. Service Contract Act prevailing wage rates apply; wage determinations for Flathead County and Glacier County establish rates ranging from $10.63 to $57.57 per hour plus mandatory fringe benefits including health and welfare, vacation, and eleven paid holidays annually. Liability insurance of $100,000 per person, $500,000 per occurrence, and $500,000 property damage is required. Award will be made to the responsible quoter offering the lowest evaluated price. Quotations must include completed Attachment 2 (Price Schedule) and be submitted to Contracting Officer Stacy Vallie at Stacy_Vallie@ios.doi.gov. Offerors must maintain active SAM registration and a current Unique Entity Identifier.
