About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking a contractor to provide furniture relocation services from Building X-70 at Naval Station Norfolk, which is scheduled for demolition. The contractor will be responsible for disassembling office, classroom, and warehouse furniture in a professional manner, transporting items to four designated new locations (Buildings IE, M-52, CEP-87, and S-29), and reassembling furniture to its pre-disassembly condition or better. Key contract requirements include coordinating with four separate tenant points of contact, providing 10-20 moving boxes or crates per tenant for personal items, developing a detailed schedule within five days of award to minimize tenant downtime, and handling specialized tasks such as disconnecting and re-wiring hard-wired cubicle power, transporting a 518-pound safe, and re-bolting warehouse equipment at destination locations. The contract will be awarded on a firm fixed price basis with payment made upon invoice submission and acceptance through the Wide Area WorkFlow system. The solicitation deadline was originally February 25, 2026, but was extended to February 26, 2026 by amendment issued on February 24, 2026, with all furniture required to be relocated by March 31, 2026.

This is a 100% Small Business set-aside contract under FAR Part 19 procedures, with no identified incumbent contractors listed in the solicitation documents. The contract is unrestricted in terms of business type but limited to small business concerns, and the applicable NAICS code is 484210 (Used Household and Office Goods Moving) with a size standard of $34,000,000. While no specific award value is disclosed in the available documents, the scope encompasses furniture relocation for four tenants across multiple building locations with varying complexity levels, from partial relocations to complete office and warehouse equipment moves. The place of performance is Ghent, Norfolk, VA, with all work to be completed by the March 31, 2026 deadline. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award and may direct questions to Contract Specialist Yvonne Wilson at yvonne.s.wilson2.civ@us.navy.mil.
