About this opportunity
This solicitation seeks proposals to develop advanced integrated threat warning systems and related test methodologies to support Research and Development and procurement milestones for the Air Force and Department of Defense. The Air Force Research Laboratory is requesting proposals to create prototype systems and simulations. Proposals are due by January 4th, 2022 and will be evaluated based on technical merit and cost/price, with technical merit as the highest priority. The anticipated award date is March 2022.
There is no set-aside designation. Offerors must be U.S. citizens with Top Secret clearance able to safeguard classified information up to the Top Secret/SCI level. The estimated value of the cost-plus-fixed-fee completion contract is $44.4 million over a four year period of performance. The NAICS code is 541715 and PSC code is R425. Work will involve threat sensor development, multi-spectral threat simulation/modeling, and experiments supporting threat warning systems. The place of performance will be within the United States.
Notice text
The objectives of this work are to develop and demonstrate prototype advanced integrated threat warning systems while also advancing multi-spectral test and developmental risk reduction methodologies to support Research and Development (R&D), and procurement agency milestones. These objectives include testing methodologies and simulations for AF and DoD procurement activities critically supported by the Integrated Threat Warning Laboratory’s (ITWL’s) world-class threat warning core competencies. The work should include solution development, integrated test capability, and instrumentation to augment agency developmental testing goals in the areas of threat warning.
