About this opportunity
The National Park Service Intermountain Region seeks hazardous tree removal and pruning services at Dinosaur National Monument in Utah, with quotes due July 9, 2026 at noon Mountain Time. This is full and open competition, not set-aside, under NAICS 561730, Landscaping Services.
Place of performance includes three locations: Green River Campground, Split Mountain Campground, and Employee Housing Area near Jensen, Utah. Work must be performed by or under direct supervision of a certified professional arborist and must comply with ANSI A-300 arboricultural standards for tree risk assessment and pruning. The contractor must furnish technical expertise, labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, and operating supplies; provide proof of weed-free equipment; equip chainsaws with spark arrestors; and maintain liability insurance of $100,000 per person, $500,000 per occurrence, and $100,000 property damage.
Period of performance is September 1 through November 30, 2026, with anticipated award August 20, 2026. The estimated scope includes 20–30 trees in campground areas and 3–6 trees in the housing area, with specific pruning and removal tasks identified in the Performance Work Statement. This is a firm fixed-price purchase order under FAR Part 12.
Evaluation weighs technical capability (including arborist qualifications, certifications, safety and quality control plans), past performance on similar tree removal services within three years, and price. Award goes to the quoter representing best overall value. All pricing must be held firm for 180 days and include all supervision, labor, materials, supplies, travel, and direct costs. Service Contract Labor Standards Act applies with Wage Determination 2015-5497 for Uintah County, Utah. Mandatory site visit is June 23, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Quarry Visitor Center. Questions are due July 1, 2026 at noon. Quotes must be submitted electronically to Sally Leitch at sally_leitch@ios.doi.gov. Contractors must be registered in SAM.gov with active UEI.
