Update #10 ·
Amendment 6 provides the answer to the RFI; The Monroe FBO listing provided an attachment for specifications from the prior engineering firm that are uncharacteristic of previous GSA equipment selection criteria. Must the new equipment meet the posted equipment specification? Such as harmonic filters and aluminized coating instead of epoxy coating on the chillers.
Answer:
Harmonic filters will not be required.
Aluminized coating- This needs to be changed to- The tube sheets, marine water boxes and water box covers shall be made of corrosion resistance materials or epoxy coating. If epoxy coating is selected this coating shall be applied by a 3rd part firm specializing in epoxy coating application for chillers. And, the epoxy coating shall have a 5 year warranty including labor and materials. If the epoxy coating is selected, factory applied epoxy coating is not acceptable. Must be applied by a 3rd party. The chiller shall have a 5 year warranty that includes parts , labor & refrigerant.
The old drawings were just a courtesy and requirement assumption should not be drawn by them. However, attention should be focused to project parameters mentione in the their respective sections of the SOW.
