GSA Region 7
BAS Graphic Format
The following pages represent the required BAS graphics format.
Strict adherence to this format will maintain consistency throughout the region regardless of the system integrator working on the systems
General notes
The following pages represent the minimum requirements for the Graphic Display Pages on the
Region 7 BAS.
Each Integrator is responsible for maintaining continuity within the system. All pages must be formatted for 1050 x 1680 dpi.
All Graphic displays must be created using elements from the Tridium N4 “kitPxHvac” library located on the GSA Region 7 Server located in Fort Worth.
All Graphic elements created by any one integrator must be stored on the server for use by all other integrators. Before creating a new graphic, check the library to determine if there is already a representation of the equipment in the library folder for your use
• For example, Throughout GSA Region 7, all Cooling only VAV Boxes will use the same graphic, All Parallel Fan Powered Boxes will use the same graphic, etc. Careful attention to point naming will be required in order that the same graphic can be used by multiple integrators.
Photos of equipment and Manufacture’s graphics of actual Chillers and Boilers are acceptable where the likeness can not be created from the kitPxHvac library. Photos or manufacture’s drawings are to be scaled to be in proportion to the mechanical plant
Please note that these graphics must reside on both the JACE and the GSA Region 7 BAS Web Supervisor Server.
Hotlinks to sites outside of the GSA Firewall are not allowed.
Graphic displays that are static and or copies of old BAS system graphics are not allowed.
All Floor Plan Graphic pages are to be approved by the GSA Property Manager prior to installation on the Server or in the JACE controller
JACE and Station Naming
Each integrator is to follow the Station and JACE
Naming standard
(For a full list of GSA IT Location Codes, please email R7BAS@gsa.gov.
JACE and Station Login and
Passwords The JACE and Station Login and
Passwords are pre-established for the programmers use. Please contact email
R7BAS@gsa.gov to receive these login and passwords.
JACE and Web Supervisor
Station User Prototypes JACE and Web Supervisor Station User
Prototypes are created on the web supervisor and shall be used.
Single Sign-on for multiple
JACEs
Each integrator is to provide the GSA with the name, IP address and MAC address of each building JACE. The GSA will have this data entered into the GSA DNS
Server so that only a single login is required per site
Utility Data Page
The GSA requires a separate graphics page for the utility data.
For instance photovoltaic, gas, electric, water, pulse meters and
BACnet/LON/Modbus chemical treatment/cooling tower bleed data points that are a part of the BAS are to be displayed in a Utility Data Page
Graphic displays on this page shall be constructed from elements in the
Tridium N4 “kitPxHvac” library, from digital pictures of the actual meter or from manufacture's graphics
All Graphic elements created by any one integrator must be stored on the server for use by all other integrators.
The Utility Data page shall be accessible by a hotlink from the home page

The page shown below exists as a .px file on the N4 Server for use by all
Smart Meter Page 2
The page shown below exists as a .px file on the N4 Server for use by all
Weather Page The GSA requires a separate graphics page for weather data.
The page shown below exists on the N4 Server for use by all integrators.
Once the page is loaded into the JACE and the configuration modified to show the correct weather station information.
Integrated Irrigation Page 1 The GSA requires a separate graphics page for integrated irrigation.
The page shown below exists on the N4 Server for use by all integrators.
Once the page is loaded into the JACE and the configuration modified to show the correct weather station information, remove the three blocks that allow the ability to change the station and insert the Solar Radiation, Rainfall Gage and Soil Moisture Sensor points.
Integrated Irrigation Page 2 The GSA requires a separate graphics page for integrated irrigation.
The page shown below indicates the irrigation zones per the prior Niagara graphic page. An irrigation zone map and sequence of operations shall be hyperlinked on the Niagara graphic page as a .pdf file(s) to aid the building engineer. Navigation from the .pdf file back to the Niagara graphic Zone location schedule shall be seamless and intuitive.

Point Naming Standards
Refer to mandatory GSA Project Haystack BAS point naming standard guidance. This documentation is available by e-mail from R7BAS@gsa.gov.
GSA Project Haystack BAS point naming standards shall be used at the N4 JACE Supervisory controller and
Unitary layer controllers on all GSA R7 Projects.
For N4 JACE front end overlay projects the point naming standards are not mandatory at the field level AHU and plant controllers.
For complete DDC new installation or retrofit, mandatory
GSA Project Haystack BAS point naming standards are required at the Unitary field layer and N4 JACE level programming.

Sample of Tridium Graphics
The following pages show screen captures of Unit Graphic Displays created using the Niagara graphics library. All unit displays must adhere to the use of elements from this library in the creation of the new graphic displays.
All graphic page backgrounds are to be white.
Each Integrator is responsible for maintaining continuity within the system. All pages must be formatted for 1024 x 768 dpi. (The intent is to not have scroll bars on the PC monitor).
All Graphic displays must be created using elements from the Tridium N4 “kitPxHvac” library located on the GSA Region 7 Server located in Fort Worth.
All Graphic elements created by any one integrator must be stored on the server for use by all other integrators.
• Throughout GSA Region 7, all Cooling only VAV Boxes will use the same graphic, All Parallel Fan Powered Boxes will use the same graphic, etc.
All Graphic Elements and Displays are to be approved by the GSA prior to placing them on the Server or
JACE
From each equipment graphic page there shall be a hotlink to a pdf file with the unit Sequence of Operation
Every control valve or damper shall indicate the fail position as NO or NC on the graphic page
Each graphic page shall accurately display all devices and data Display all sensors and safeties that control or protect the equipment whether the device is a part of the BAS or not.
The next series of slides represent graphics displays for various types of
HVAC Equipment and Lighting. All of these drawings have been created using the Tridium library of graphic elements

Integration of each JACE onto the GSA Region
7 Tridium N4 web supervisors shall occur.
100% integration, communication, mapping, set up, configuration, and sharing of points between the GSA Region 7 BAS Tridium Applications
Server and the AMS (Advanced Metering
System) Tridium Vykon Energy Suite Application
Web Supervisor Server are required. AMS point histories and configuration shall be set up and operational on the AMS at the server level for trending, month-to-year archiving, and analysis.
1st Step – Sync the JACE Histories to the BAS Server
Configure the same points that were a part of the prior AMS application (if applicable) so that the history files archive to the Fort Worth BAS Server at a minimum once nightly. For clarification and guidance on which BAS points shall have long term histories, please email R7BAS@gsa.gov.
Configure all new utility type points (Gas Meters, Electric Meters, Water Meters, PV systems, etc.)
so that these points historical data is archived to the Fort Worth BAS Server at a minimum once nightly.
2nd Step – Sync the BAS Server
Histories to the AMS VES Server
Configure the BAS Server to Archive all of the History Files to the AMS Server a minimum of once a day.
This transfer of data must occur after the
JACEs have archived their data to the
BAS Server.

SPECIAL COURTESY NOTE
It is encouraged that the integrator finish all JACE station programming and changes prior to integrating to the GSA Region 7 BAS N4 Supervisor Server.
Prior to any integrator restarting the server with changes, the courtesy of checking with other integrators who may be on-line by using the text message function on the Niagara server application shall be used to ensure that no one dumps another integrators work.
File details come from the government source that posted it.
