About this file

This is a Register of Wage Determinations under the Service Contract Act issued by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment Standards Administration Wage and Hour Division for Louisiana counties including Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, Saint John the Baptist, St Bernard, and St Charles (Wage Determination No. 2015-5189, Revision 34, effective 8/6/2026).

The document establishes prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits for service contract employees across numerous occupational classifications. Wage rates range from $10.69 per hour for Waiter/Waitress positions to $48.72 per hour for Registered Nurse IV positions. Fringe benefits include health and welfare at $5.55 per hour (up to 40 hours weekly or $222.00 per week/$962.00 per month) and vacation provisions of two weeks paid leave after one year of service, three weeks after eight years, and four weeks after fifteen years. All occupations listed receive a minimum of eleven paid holidays annually. Special pay differentials apply to hazardous materials handling (4-8 percent) and night/Sunday work for air traffic controllers and weather observers (10 percent night differential plus 25 percent Sunday premium). Uniform allowances are limited to $1.35 per week for cleaning and maintenance costs. Computer professionals and certain technical occupations are subject to specific exemption criteria under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The wage determination applies to all contracts subject to the Service Contract Act awarded on or after the specified date and references Executive Orders 13706 and 13658 regarding paid sick leave requirements for federal contractors.
