Coordinates individual test results drawing inferences and conclusions from the data, from observations made during tests, and from examinations of material as to adequacies, weaknesses, and failures in material; causes of deficiencies, and probable type of remedial action required. Drafts complete report of data, conclusions and recommendations; frequently recommending whether equipment is satisfactory and warrants continuation or abandonment of development. Recommendations frequently involve comparative consideration of the performance of other electronic instrumentation. Recommends instrumentation requirements and installs instrumentation systems as required to obtain valid, relevant, accurate, and complete data necessary for performance determinations of various vehicles, weapons systems, or other items under test. Sets up, aligns, and operates data acquisition, transmission, analysis, and control system. Uses digital computer systems and various analog items/systems for measuring, recording, processing and outputting data.
