SECTION 00010 - SOLICITATION CONTRACT FORM

The required response date/time has changed from 30-Apr-2020 01:00 PM to 07-May-2020 01:00 PM.

SECTION 00100 - BIDDING SCHEDULE/INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS

The following have been added by full text:

RFI'S AMENDMENT 0007

Spec Ref Drawing Ref Question Response 07 42 63 A-710 1. Insulated Fabricated Wall Panel Steel Sheet Gauge:

The Exterior Finish Schedule on Sheet A-710 of the drawings indicates that the basis of design for insulated metal panel, MP-1, is the 7.2 Insul-Rib profile manufactured by Metl-Span and the basis of design for MP-2, is the striated profile manufactured by Metl- Span.

Subpart 2.1.1 Steel Sheet within Subpart 2.1 Panel Materials of Specification Section 07 42 63 Insulated Fabricated Wall Panels states that the steel sheet for the insulated fabricated wall panels is required to be fy = 20 gauge.

Subpart 2.4.1 Steel Sheet within Subpart 2.4 Panel Materials of Specification Section 13 34 19 Metal Building Systems states that the steel sheet for the panel materials is required to be fy = 18 gauge.

However, according to the product data sheet from Metl Span, the CF 7.2 Insul-Rib Insulated Metal Wall Panel has exterior face options of 26, 24, or 22 gauge and interior face options of 26, 24, or 22 gauge.

Additionally, according to the product data sheet from Metl Span, the CF Striated Insulated Metal Wall Panel has exterior face options of 24 or 22 gauge and interior face options of 26, 24, or 22 gauge.

Please clarify which gauge(s) for both the exterior and interior faces of the basis of design insulated metal panels the Contractor is to include in its bid.

See revised Sections 07 42 63 and 13 34 19 as part of enclosed amendment for revised panel gauges.

13 34 19 2. Thermal Performance of Metal Roof Panel Assemblies at the Pre-Engineered Metal Building (Part C): Subpart 1.2.4.1 Metal Roof Panel Assemblies within Subpart 1.2.4 Thermal Performance of Specification Section 13 34 19 Metal Building Systems states, “U-factor: 0.02” and “R-value: 51.” However, the drawings indicate the ERA-2 Roof Assembly to be

The Contractor is not required to install a panelized metal roof system. Install ERA-2 roof assembly as indicated on Sheet A-002. The thermal performance criteria for ERA-2 is R=48 (min.) at roof drains. See enclosed amendment for revisions to Section 13 34 19.

installed on the roof of the pre-engineered metal building (Part C); not metal roof panel assemblies.

Please confirm our interpretation that the Contractor is not required to install metal roof panel assemblies with a U-Factor of 0.02 and

13 34 19 3. Air Infiltration of Metal Roof Panels at the Pre- Engineered Metal Building (Part C): Subpart 1.2.5 Air Infiltration for Metal Roof Panels of Specification Section 13 34 19 Metal Building Systems includes specific requirements for allowable air leakage through the roof assembly; however, the drawings do not require installation of any metal roof panel assemblies on the pre-engineered metal building (Part C).

Please confirm our interpretation that Subpart 1.2.5 of Specification Section 13 34 19 is not applicable.

Agree. Section 13 34 19, Sub-paragraph 1.2.5 Air Infiltration for Metal Roof Panels is not applicable as the roof system (ERA-2) is a composite field assembled roof system.

The Building Part C does require meeting an overall air barrier system leakage requirement.

See Section 07 27 10.00 10 Building Air Barrier System, Paragraph 1.6 for air barrier envelope reqiurements for Building Part C. See enclosed amendment deleting Pargraph 1.2.5 of Section 13 34 19.

13 34 19 4. Eave Height of the Pre-Engineered Metal Building (Part C): Subpart 1.3e Definitions of Specification Section 13 34 19 Metal Building Systems defines “Eave Height” as “Vertical dimension from finished floor to eave (the line along the sidewall formed by intersection of the planes of the roof and wall)” and Subpart 1.4.4 Eave Height states “Eave height must be 33 Ft., as indicated by nominal height on Drawings.”

However, the eave height of the pre-engineered metal building (Part C) indicated within the drawings is much greater than 33 feet. Please confirm the height that the eave height must be.

Refer to Section E1 / A-952 PEMB- Building Framing Drawings. The clear span eave height is established by the roof low point of the top chord of the rigid frame at Gird line 10.1; LP 200’- 8”. The Building Area ‘C’ finish floor is 165’-6” (01-FIRST FLR). The overall eave height from finish floor is 35’ – 2”, not inclusive of structural bearing. Minimum clearances shown on A-952 are to be maintained. See enclosed amendment for revision to Section 13 34 19, Para. 1.4.4.

25 05 11.03 5. Section 25 05 11.03 of the specifications is titled “Cybersecurity for Facility- Related Control Systems – Electric Gate Controllers.” However, Subpart 1.2 Control System Applicability within this section of the specifications states, “This specific Section applies only to the following control systems: Bacnet Direct Digital Control.” Please confirm our interpretation that there are not any sections of the specifications that provide requirements relating to cybersecurity for facility related control system associated with the electric gate controllers.

Cybersecurity requirements do apply to the Electric Gate Controllers. Section 11 12 00, Section 23 09 00, and Section 28 10 05 are revised as part of the enclosed amendment to clarify how the electric gate controllers are tied to the building management system, electronic security system, and fire alarm system and therefore require appropriate cybersecurity controls.

26 08 00 6. Apparatus Inspection and Testing for Underground Electrical Distribution: Subpart 1.3 Related Requirements of Section 33 71 02 Underground Electrical Distribution of the specifications states, “Section 26 08 00 Apparatus Inspection and Testing applies to this section . . .” However, Section 33 71 02 is not included as one of the specification sections listed within Subpart 3.1 Acceptance Tests and Inspections of Section 26 08 00 required to be performed by a first tier qualified testing organization / subcontractor.

Section 26 08 00 Apparatus Inspection and Testing is applicable to the testing and inspection requirements set forth within Section 33 71 02 Underground Electrical Distribution.

Paragraph 3.1 of Section 26 08 00 Apparatus Inspection and Testing is revised as part of the enclosed amendment. Additionally, revisions to Section 26 28 21.00 40, Section 26 32 14, and Section 26 51 00 to add testing
