6/30/23 | 1 | 13 | Upon review of the docking DWG provided by ACOE (Encl 00013 + 702-D170-01-0_Docking + Plan) the KTR requests clarifiation if the government requires a docking block dimensional height. The KTR finds General Note line 2 lists a foot print of 4' x 4' with no blocking height listed. KTR reviewed the DWG details and finds no other measurements provided. Request the government provide any requirement for a docking block height. | No requirement is listed, but looking at other dimensions on the drawing, the height appears to be 4' x 4' x 4'. The height really just needs to be high enough for any bottom work to be performed without having to jack the vessel any highter up. | ||
6/30/23 | 7 | 18 | KTR finds the statement of work directs the KTR to pressure wash from the rub rail down. KTR finds two rub rails on the side shell of the vessel; an upper and a lower. For square footage and estimating purposes request the government define which rub rail is pressure washing to include, the upper or lower rub rail? | Lower Rub Rail | ||
6/30/23 | 10 | 18 | KTR received answers to bidder questions on 6/28/2023 listed as Answers to Questions 3 for Statement of Work item 00010 Engine Alignment and Installation of New Resilient Mounts. Government response " We only need the Engine resilient mounts inspected." KTR notes no reference for resilient mounts were received to include the criteria for inspection, measurement and any adjustment. Request the government provide all references for Resilient Mount Inspection, Measurment and Adjustments for the MDE and SSDG Resilient Mounts. | Prepare a CFR for the Resilient Mounts. If needed we've got (4) mounts onboard (GFE) | ||
6/30/23 | 16 | 56 | KTR requests clarification for the work item as written. Specification states KTR to provide the services of the ABS inspector for 7-3-2/5 ABS Steel Vessel Rules for Special Periodic Survey No. 2 and 7-6-2/3 ABS Steel Vesssel Rules for Machinery Surveys-Survey Requirements/Special Periodical Surveys. Per KTR conversation with ABS inpsector the Special Periodic Survey No.2 was completed in 2020 and is not required. For clarification and pricing purposes request the government clarify the statement of work requiring ABS attendance above/in addition to the items listed in the Statement of Work as follows: Items 0002 Hull Audio Gauging, 0003 Repair Port Chine, 0005 Repair Port Hawespipe and 0006 Hull Repair (Hopper Bottom). | Routine ABS survey / KTR will work with ABS to establish new International Load Line markings (to include the raised welding around the load line markings) | ||
6/30/23 | 12 | 55 | KTR notes that the vendors are providing long lead time for the parts to be replaced in the statement of work listed as: Turbo Charger w/kit, current lead time of 66 days ARO each. KTR can update lead time based upon an award. Request the government acknolwedge that the current lead time exceeds the POP for this availability. Request the government review the option to provide the parts as GFE or extend the availability POP due to the material lead time. | Turbo's are currently operational / 66 day Lead Time for the new Turbo's --- THIS CLIN WILL BE REMOVED VIA FORTHCOMING AMENDMENT. | ||
6/30/23 | 13 | 55 | KTR notes that the vendors are providing long lead time for the parts to be replaced in the statement of work listed as: Aftercooler, current lead time of 112 days ARO each, Aftercooler O'Ring Kit current lead time of 91 days ARO each, and Water Pump current lead time of 35 days ARO each. KTR can update lead time based upon an award. Request the government acknolwedge that the current lead time for the items listed exceed the availability POP. Request the government review the option to provide the parts as GFE or extend the availability POP due to the material lead time. | The Water Pump, After-Cooler and After-Cooler O-ring kit are currently operational --- THIS CLIN WILL BE REMOVED VIA FORTHCOMING AMENDMENT.
