| 30 | 20 | 14-15 | KTR received answer to bidders questions titled A21+-+Answers+to+Questions+8 on 7/13/2023. Based upon answers received in bidder questions and SOW items: Government Bidder question response 8 states to anticipate painting the complete u/w body hull but is mainly for new steel work requiring a complete paint system application. The government directs the KTR to item 7 for surface prep and the item lists only a 3500 psi water wash which only supports a top overcoat. Question does the government request a complete u/w preservation from bare steel priced or a complete u/w body top overcoat? | Please review Amendment 4. PREPARE A CFR WHEN THE HULL IS EXAMINED. FOR THE BID ASSUME THAT THE HULL WILL BE CLEANED AND PAINTED FROM THE WATERLINE DOWN. | ||||
| 31 | 20 | 14-15 | KTR find SOW 20 reference 1b Appendix B-1 outdated and no longer manufactured from the International Paint Technical Representative. Based upon conversation with the paint technical representative the government needs to provide the current paint application system ensure it is compatible with the International Paint recommended application Top Coat Interspeed 640 and if bare steel the Primer Coat is Intergard 264. Request the government provide the currently installed u/w body and hull paint coating system applied to DREDGE MURDEN. | If from bare metal follow this paint scheme: 1st - 370 red epoxy; 2nd 370 grey epoxy; 3rd ABC #3 black antifouling; 4th ABC #3 red antifouling | ||||
| 32 | Solicitation | Based upon the questions listed above and clarification required to properly bid SOW item 20 the KTR is requesting an additional 5 working days to the bid submittal date of 19 July 2023. | Extended to 24 July 2023 |
