46. Q: On Drawing E114, Transformers TA1 and TB1 are drawn relatively close to the Barrier I Building, but on Drawing ES 004 the transformers are quite a bit farther away from the Barrier I building with the barrier I power distribution building in between the transformers and the Barrier I Building. Can you clarify which drawing is correct? This will affect the grounding, duct bank, and secondary electrical feeds.
A: Transformers Shown on sheet ES 004 tagged ‘TR-A1’ & ‘TR-B1’ are not a part of this contract. Transformers shown on sheet E-107 and E-114 tagged ‘XFMR TA1’ & ‘XFMR TB1’ are included as a part of this contract. Please note that these are two different sets of transformers located in two different locations.
47. Q: Provide more information on the types of (+/- 14 to 16) hand holes shown in the sidewalk/duct bank on the C drawings, also the E drawings do not show the 5 conduits or hand holes shown on the C drawings.
A: Please see sheet E-501/Detail 3 for hand-hole requirements
48. Q: Power for motorized gates is not shown on the electrical drawings, please provide additional information.
A: Please include in Bid Item 0004 – Building Foundation and Site Improvements for power for motorized gates and associated controls, and other related equipment. Power motorized gates from Panel ‘DP3’ located in South Electrical Room.
49. Q: Who is supposed to furnish and install the VFD’s? They are shown on both the mechanical and electrical drawings, and there is a spec section in the electrical specs for them. Are they supposed to be included with the mechanical equipment?
A: Electrical Contractor should not assume VFD’s are to be included with the mechanical equipment. Please include in Bid Item 0006 Interior Electric Installation and Coordination for cost for VFD’s where ever called out for, in both Mechanical Sheets and Electrical Sheets
