40Roof InsulationGovernment response to previous RFI questions 9 says the existing roof insulation is to remain, unless the existing insulation is damaged and needs repair. This is impossible to quantify until the existing insulation is exposed. We recommend the government require a square footage allowance in the bid to cover the cost of potentially deteriorated existing insulation. Being the RFP requires a 20-year NDL warranty, this means our roofing manufacturer will require all deteriorated (wet / damaged) insulation be replaced to make the warranty valid. Please adviseWe do not believe the existing insulation has any problems. Assume 10% replacement of existing insulation for your bidTRUEAEItem

We need to know if the existing roof system has an existing cover board, and if the existing membrane is mechanically fastened or adhered.
