About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document (Amendment 3) for Solicitation W912HQ26QA031, addressing contractor inquiries regarding Test, Measurement, Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) calibration services for the 249th Engineering Battalion at Fort Belvoir and Fort Bragg.
The document clarifies that TMDE calibration due dates vary by item based on each equipment's last calibration/service date, with the Government responsible for notifying the contractor at least 14 calendar days in advance of calibration due dates. The contractor must return all calibrated TMDE to the unit no later than the established calibration due date as provided by the Government; failure to provide the required 14-day notice relieves the contractor of responsibility for meeting specified dates. For mission-critical TMDE items, the Government requests expedited calibration with a 7–14-day turnaround. Regarding on-site services, the 249th Engineering Battalion does not require on-site calibration; contractors may either conduct on-site work by direct coordination with the unit or pick up items at Fort Bragg/Fort Belvoir locations to perform calibration services at their own facilities. The Contractor should make every reasonable effort to complete calibration at the earliest practicable date.

Amendment 3 - Questions and Answers
1a. When is the equipment due for calibration at Fort Belvoir?
Answer: See the PWS.
1b. When is the equipment due for calibration at Fort Bragg?
Answer:
TMDE calibration due dates are dependent on the notification/service date we pull on our end.
In other words, depending on when the items were last calibrated/ serviced, each item will have a different due date. It is the 249th EN BAT responsibility to notify the contractor at least 14 days in advance of the calibration due date so that the contractors are not working with multiple competing priorities. Failure on the Government to provide the required 14 calendar day notice relives the contractor of responsibility to provide the items at a specified date (stated in 3.6 of the PWS).
For any TMDE items that are being used for mission-critical events (also dependent on the event/ mission), the Government would like to have the calibration be expedited (7–14-day turn-around).
2a. Is there a timeframe that we are expected to be onsite at Fort Belvoir?
Answer: The 249th Engineering Battalion does not require the contractor to conduct on-site calibration. If the contractor has the capability of doing on-site calibration, the unit will directly work with the contractor to schedule in advance. If on-site calibration is a hassle, the contractor will need to pick-up the items at the Fort Bragg/ Fort Belvoir location to conduct services at their designated facility.
2b. Is there a timeframe that we are expected to be onsite at Fort Bragg?
Answer: See above answer.
