About this file

This is a technical drawing set for maintenance dredging operations of the New York and New Jersey Channels, Arthur Kill 35' Reach Federal Navigation Project. The drawings document the surveyed dredging areas, bathymetric conditions, and channel geometry for a project managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District under Solicitation W912DS-26-B-A013, with an anticipated contract number W912DS-26-C-A###. The 21-sheet drawing package includes a site dredging plan showing the overall project layout, channel coordinates, and 35-foot contours; multiple dredging area and sounding maps with detailed bathymetric data organized across sections C-001 through C-018; and a typical cross-section indicating design parameters including a -35-foot MLLW target depth, 1-foot allowable overdepth, 105-foot channel width, and varying side slopes. Soundings are referenced to Mean Lower Low Water using the NAD 1983 New Jersey Mercator Zone 2900 coordinate system, derived from Real Time Kinematic GPS surveys conducted in December 2025, and comply with Army Corps standards for accuracy and CEPD compliance. The dredging areas are designated as basic work shoals (16R, 18R, 19B) and option shoals (16A, 20D, 20S, 25S), with the latter two areas (20S and 25S) specifically noted as having no applicable side slope templates. Drawing revisions were marked through December 2025, with preparation by the New York District Operations Division Support Branch under the direction of design and survey personnel including C. Provaneha, M. Oseback, and J. Wong.
