About this file

This amendment modifies an advertised invitation for bid for maintenance work at two clearwells that are part of the Dalecarlia Water Treatment Plant. The Washington Aqueduct utilizes the clearwells for final chemical treatment, disinfection, and storage of potable water supplied to the District of Columbia and Northern Virginia. The amendment changes the price schedule date, timing for one scope item, and adds a second pre-bid site visit with health and safety precautions for COVID-19. The project scope involves upgrades to clearwell drain lines, rehabilitation of sluice gates, and installation of new flow meters and mixers. Improvements to the overflow structure and a building HVAC system are also included. Outages of the individual clearwells must be coordinated with seasonal water demands.
