Manhattan Levee Flood Risk Management Project

The Manhattan, KS FRM project w ill include approximately 20,000 linear feet of levee raises along the Big Blue and Kansas River as w ell as 500 linear feet of a new levee (tie-back Hayes and Casement).

Additionally, the project w ill include underseepage control measures including 28 relief w ells, and 8,140 linear feet of underseepage control berms to accommodate the levee raise.

Five existing gatew ell structures w ill be modified, one w ill be replaced and one new drainage structure near station 140+00. The Manhattan, KS FRM project w ill include numerous utility relocations as w ell.

j. SUBMISSION OF BIDS AND BID OPENING: Due to the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, the Government is taking precautions to ensure the safety and health of all Contractors and Government employees.

Electronic bids are REQUIRED. Mailed and hand-delivered bids are NOT ALLOWED. The Contractor is required to ensure that the bid package is legible and completed. Bid bonds shall be copied to where the seals are legible in the copy.
