Carters Project, GA
Exhibit 8 – Criteria for Marking Government Boundary Lines at Carters Project
1. Tree Marking
Trees adjacent to the Governments boundary will be remarked in accordance with the USACE boundary line marking specifications, which are included at the end of this Exhibit.
These trees should be marked at sightline distances along property lines which are not crossed by roads or streams. Effort should be made to mark trees previously marked. In the event that no previously marked trees are visible or if tree damage has occurred, boundary marking will be at the direction of the COR.
2. Type of Paint
All boundaries of fee-owned lands should be marked with a bright red paint tree marking paint. All boundaries for easements should be marked with a white tree marking paint, utilizing the same marking procedure.
3. Path Clearing
A minimum 3 foot wide by 8 foot high path will be maintained on the project boundary.
In addition, stumps will be cut to 2 inches high or less.
4. Signage
Occasionally, placement of signage may be required on the boundary. This will be at the direction of the COR. Typical signage types may include carsonite post with sticker sign or small aluminum sign placed on fence post.
File details come from the government source that posted it.
