About this file

This document is a Clarifying Question and Answer Sheet dated June 25, 2024, related to a federal contract opportunity for base-wide custodial services at Fort Novosel, AL.

The key details are:

  • Approximately 55 buildings at Fort Novosel have janitor closets/storage available for custodial materials and equipment.
  • Buildings 24314 and 25643, previously included in the 8 geographically separated locations, have been removed from the revised installation map (TE-12).
  • Building 20087 is included in the inventory but falls outside the 8 geographic locations on the revised TE-12 map.
  • There are inconsistencies in the color coding scheme used across various documents (TE-3, TE-6, TE-7, TE-11, and the Bid Schedule Chart), which are intended to designate different service areas and cleaning requirements. The Bid Schedule Chart provides the definitive color information for the CLIN/subCLIN descriptions.

CCMI–CEU-NO 25 June 2024

Question Number Question Answer

1 With regard to Questions 34 and 43, it is clear there are no external storage areas, and not all buildings have storage capacity for janitorial materials and/or equipment. In which facilities are janitor closets/storage available, and how many are in each facility?

Approximately 55 buildings have janitor closets/storage available.

2 Question number 74 on the Q&A's that were provided on 11 June 2024 states that there are eight (8) geographically separated locations. The eighth location being buildings 24314 and 25643. The buildings in question are shown on TE- 12 Installation Map(s) Fort Novosel but are not referenced within the inventory provided or in the scope of work. Please advise.

Buildings 24314 and 25643 have been removed from the new TE-12 (TE-12 Installation Map(s) Fort Novosel REVISED 6-25-2024). Please see new answer to Question 74 from Question and Answer Sheet (11 June 2024):

Refer to TE-12.

1. Carins

2. Knox

3. Hanchy

4. Lowe

5. Shell

6. Main Post

7. BLDG 24201

8. BLDG 20087 OZARK

GATE

3 Building 20087 was provided in the inventory, however, in TE-12 Installation Map(s) Fort Novosel this building falls outside the eight (8) geographic locations. Please advise.

Please see answer to Question 2 above.

4 I find inconsistency for the TE 7, TE 6.

The TE7 references Schedule D-CRC with list 1. of bldgs in Purple. 2.

second page Performance Requirements Summar Schedule D:

CRC- Option 1. Schedule D Option 1

There is no inconsistency with the color scheme for pricing. The colors are listed in the CLINs/subCLINs in the solicitation, the Bid Chart shows the colors for each CLIN/subCLIN for clarification, Green Service. Page 3 Schedule D:CRC-Option 2 Enhanced. The Color System on TE11 and instructions on TE 6, TE 7, TE 3 and the Bid Schedule Chart TE1 do not have the same color scheme and appear to contradict. TE 3 has two shades of Green and list Green, Amber,Red and Black. There is no Black on TE 11? There is no Light Green on TE 11? The Legend on TE 11 lists A TE Museums in Purple, B Schedule all Service Areas T E 5 All Others, I take this to be all other buildings? Light Blue bands C and CE Schedule C Remaing service Areas TE6 Bldg 101 and 5700. Te Blue CE Schedule C Enhanced Cleaning Areas (TE 6 Bldg 101 and 5700). Purple D Schedule D, raminag service areas of TE-7. last line has DE Schedule D, enhanced cleaning areas (TE-7 CRC) There is no legend shwing Black and no Black on the chart.

the Bid Schedule includes the color information in the CLIN/subCLIN descriptions, and the differences in the colors are on TE-3.
