18. Could the government please clarify whether it intends Task 6 to include Hazardous Waste
Management Program Support? The Task 6 regulatory citations for necessary staff training seem to be more typically related to hazardous waste procedures and handling itself, rather than hazardous materials management support which appears to be the intent of Task 6.
Answer: Task 8 has the Hazardous Waste management program support, however, Task 6 personnel require the training and understanding of hazardous waste procedures and handling.
The Pollution Prevention (P2) program needs to have an understanding of the RCRA regulations to help assist tenants with the disposal of Hazardous Materials. They also have reporting to do that deals with EPA and State regulations. Also, Task 6 personnel occasionally helps to cover task 8 personnel when needed.
