About this file

This is a Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) Area of Interest announcement issued by the U.S. Army Tank and Automotive Command-Watervliet Arsenal (TACOM) through Army Contracting Command-Watervliet Arsenal (ACC-WVA) for an Advanced CNC Vertical Turning Lathe with Pallet System. The CSO number is W911PT26SC001-A008, released on 17 September 2026, with a closure date of 1 November 2026. The Government seeks state-of-the-art equipment featuring a minimum 4-axis CNC Vertical Turning Center with part and tool probe system, live spindle, C-axis rotary table, automatic tool and pallet changers, a linear pallet system accommodating 10 or more pallets, 6 pallets with adjustable and removable 4-jaw chucks, quad tool holder, and remote pendants.

The equipment must fit within an existing foundation pit with specific physical constraints: maximum height of 19 feet (228 inches) and chip discharge at floor level rather than within the pit. Foundation dimension plans are provided as Attachment A for the offeror's reference. Solutions will be selected based on existing needs, best qualification following technical review, and price reasonableness. Prospective offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) and submit written solutions via email to usarmy.watervliet.tacom.mbx.commercial-solutions-opening@army.mil with the specified subject line. The Government is not obligated to extend an RFP or make an award, all awards are subject to funding availability and successful negotiations, and this announcement does not authorize performance or obligate the Government for any costs incurred by offerors. Questions may be directed to the contracting officer, Lauren Scripps, at lauren.a.scripps.civ@army.mil.
