Attachment 0021 - Request for Waiver of First Article Testing Requirements
Request for Waiver of First Article Testing Requirements Requirements for First Article Testing are specified in Section C.5 – C.5.3.11.2 of the solicitation. The offeror shall provide proposed prices for CLINs 0001, 0002, and 0003 as part of its Price Factor submission in Attachment 0017 – Pricing Spreadsheet.
PLEASE NOTE: The Government does NOT intend to require all activities under CLIN 0001, 0002, and 0003 during contract performance; only one of the FAT requirements is necessary and will be required depending upon whether offeror’s proposed solution has been previously delivered to/accepted by the Government, and (if so), how recent a previously delivered/accepted proposed system was last produced. Therefore offerors shall provide a completed Waiver of First Article Testing Requirements with its proposal which the Government will consider in the evaluation.
INSTRUCTIONS TO THE OFFEROR: It is expected for each offeror to request one of the three Waiver Request options below as part of its proposal, which will enable the Government to eliminate certain priced CLINs during the evaluation phase of the Price Factor. The offeror shall select one of the Waiver Request options based on the system being proposed, and submit this completed Request as part of its proposal. The offeror can only request waivers specific to one of the three options below. If the subject waiver is approved, all related CDRLs and resulting requirements will be removed upon award. We reserve the right to request additional information to determine whether a Government Full Material Release (FMR) has been obtained.
