Text version

Our manufacturer has a couple of questions based on the Q&A's that were attached to the latest RFQ. Can you please see if you can address them and get back to me?

1. Q&A 2 (#1) – indicates that the blast booth will be installed outside. Our blast booth must be installed within a building.

A. Media blast equipment, booth and media recovery system will be installed indoors.

Dust collection equipment and AMU will be placed outdoors.

2. Q&A 3 and Q&A 5 (#2) say that booth is to be installed inside, so there is a contradiction to above.

A. Booth will be installed indoors.

3. Q&A 1 (#7), Q&A 3, Q&A 5 (#3) say they will use sand as blast media. This is most certainly not what they will use and shouldn’t be used in a blast booth.

A. Sand media is preferred, other metal blast media is acceptable.

4. Q&A 4 (#3) says DC will be 100’ from booth. We have quoted 65’ of ductwork.

A. Approx. 100’
