About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding sensor requirements for a media blasting booth system solicitation. The solicitation seeks a media blasting booth equipped with component-level condition monitoring sensors to collect operational data for vibration, temperature, current, and other parameters to support a predictive maintenance program. Specifically, the customer requires sensors for both motor current monitoring (K6CMCI) and motor vibration and temperature monitoring (K6CMVB), with output signal only. No program is needed. The related solicitation W52P1J-22-R-3028 is for a media blasting booth system from the Department of the Army Materiel Command Joint Munitions Command. No further details are provided on pricing, response dates, or other contractual requirements.

Media Blasting Booth Questions and Answers 6
QUESTION: 2.1.4. Predictive maintenance sensor requirements:
Equipment and systems shall be provided with component (i.e. motors, pumps, etc.) level condition‐ based monitoring (CbM) sensors. These sensors shall be suitable for monitoring the overall health of the component and used for collecting data on operational conditions, for example, usage, thermal variation, vibration, noise intensity, etc. These sensors will ultimately be used to provide data for a predictive maintenance
(PdM) program.
There is several monitoring possible See reference: CSM document
Does customer want the
K6CM‐CI = monitoring motor current only
K6CM‐VB = monitoring motor vibration and temp only
Or Both Does customer need program also?
Or only output signal
ANSWER: Customer requires both; K6CM‐CI & K6CM‐VB, with only output signal.
